Stopovers - SOUTH AFRICA. Cape Town, Langa township

The visit of Langa township was not efficient and was difficult as far as photographing is concerned.

Because it “was allowed” to take pictures…
It was even encouraged by our local guide, in order to somehow “recognize” these people. A matter of being charitable towards them…
Thus I have photographed, with a few exceptions, the alimentary-oriented-resignation or the indifference. The photos were allowed up to the intimacy of the room arranged for three families. A voyeurism which is accepted.
After this slum tourism, what have I understood? And those people, what have they got out of it?

I would have liked to be able to reflect the social reality of this ghetto in a way which is agreed more freely and with more humanity. By taking the time for the contact.
